Whitney Blocker

Whitney Scott Blocker, age 39, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St Louis, MO. He was born November 3, 1978, in St Joseph, MI, to James and Carol Blocker. He married Amberr on October 19, 2016 in Clearwater, FL. He worked as a designer at The Tile Shop, he had a very welcoming personality. He treated everyone he met like his friends and he was just as strong as he was stubborn. He was a history buff, he made it a point to explore some of Missouri’s historical sites. There are not enough words to describe him but unforgettable is one word I would use. He is survived by his son, Aiden Blocker; his wife, Amberr Blocker; his parents James and Carol; his brother, Jason Clark and a niece, nephew and cousins. He will be loved and missed by many.

A service will be held in his honor for close friends and family on Saturday, June 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m at St Louis Cremation, 2135 Chouteau Ave, St Louis, MO 63103.

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty well preserved body, rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a ride!” -Hunter S. Thompson

Whitney, our hearts are heavy with your passing. You were a significant and irreplacable piece of the puzzle in this crazy family and we will miss you terribly.
From your time as a “sanitation engineer” at Mike & Tracy’s wedding to your last day you always lived life “full out”…refusing to be bored. Thank you for leaving the family a great little boy as your legacy. Rest in peace, Ooten. We love you.

You will be remembered for your many loves. From ren and stimpy to camping, snowmobiling, hunting and a love of life. I’ll bring a can of smoked oysters with me when I see you again. Love, uncle Rich and aunt Zoja…

It saddens me to just read of this passing. Whitney left an everlasting impression on me a number of years ago when I was just a child working at the Value Village. He will be forever missed and never forgotten. He instilled something in me that is quite important to my very being.
