Tom was a colleague, a mentor, & a friend . He was my neighbor at LHSS for twenty years. Many mornings before school were spent in good-natured banter about baseball — the Cardinals, his Red Sox, and my Cubs. He was a much beloved teacher for Lindsey, Nathanael, and Boomer. Lindsey said that she hated the writing process while she was learning it, but received accolades though college as she used Tom’s method. She told me she would gladly give a testimonial to his instructing prowess and sage advise. Nathanael enjoyed Tom’s sense of humor and felt sometimes he was the only one who really got the joke. Tom was particularly mindful of how to encourage and direct Boomer. Lori and I will always be grateful for his understanding. Tom was truly a blessing to me and my family not to mention the hundreds of staff members and thousands of students and athletes at Lutheran South. I know that Tom rests in the presence of Our Living Lord, and I pray that all who loved him will take solace in His peace. Blessings in Him, The Trahs
