Robert Rau Fischer

On July 19, 2018 , Robert Rau Fischer transitioned peacefully in his sleep after a debilitating stroke and most recently a brain tumor.
Robert attended Pacific High School and graduated in 1955. He was employed by McDonnell Douglas as a plastic tool maker until he retired at the age of 55 after thirty-seven years. He then was employed at Six Flags part time, as a security guard.
His passions included softball, golf, reading about historical events and traveling. He recently stated his favorite trip was one to the Mayan Ruins.
He was born on February 24, 1937 in Washington, Missouri and resided in Pacific, Missouri his entire life. He married Barbara Ann (Brouster) in 1957 until she passed in 1982. He married Kathleen Francis (Bruns) in 1983.
Those left to cherish his memory include two children Renee E. (Jim) Bacon, Shelly Fischer Haney, two step children Mitch (Donna) Baker, Shannan (Nick) Baker-Kenny. Three grandchildren, James R. (Sarah) Bacon, Ashley R. Bacon, Jillian R. Haney. One step grandchild, Chris Deveney
Services will be held at Pacific United Methodist Church, 1516 West St. Louis Street, Pacific, MO 63069 on July 28, 2018. Visitation at 11:00am and a Celebration of Life service will be at 12:30pm. Dinner immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Farley’s fund care of Pacific Animal Hospital 450 W Flier Dr Pacific, MO 63069.
