Renee Brandel

Screen Shot 2015-05-26 at 1.39.18 PMRenee Patrice Brandel passed away peacefully at her home in Spanish Lake, MO on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th, 2015 with her loving family by her side.

Renee was born in Greenville, Michigan on May 14, 1957 to the late Lawrence and Elaine Hodges. She leaves behind her beloved husband Jerry J. Brandel; her 2 sons Jerry Brandel, Jr. and Christopher Brandel; her brother Larry Hodges; and her nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends.

Renee was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army where she served as a supply technician. She also has worked at many restaurants in the area and was with Arch Respite Care for a time, a job which suited her natural inclination towards caring for others. Renee was compassionate to a fault and had a giving heart. She also enjoyed garage sales and finding special gently loved items that she could take home to add to her collection.

Her family dearly misses her already and she will be forever remembered.

An informal memorial celebration is currently being planned for her at a later date.

I had not seen Renee in many years but that doesn’t stop the sadness at her passing far to young. She will be remembered as being happy and spreading that happiness to us around her. God’s speed on her journey home.

My deepest condolences to Renee’s family. May the peace God gives sustain your family during this difficult time. Lean on one another, share your memories, they will be a source of joy. Seeing the promises in God’s word the Bible will help you to gain strength, fortify and comfort you. Revelation 21:4 and Isaiah 25:8 are two that comfort me at such grievous times. Again my deepest sympathy
