Pranab K. Ray

Pranab Kumar Ray, 79, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at NHC Healthcare in Town and Country, Missouri. Pranab was born on March 4,1939 in Bangladesh, India.

Pranab worked as the Assistant Vice President of Industrial Engineering and Project Planning for the Hager Hinge Company in St. Louis for twenty-six years. His hobbies included fishing, painting, drawing, singing, and traveling. Pranab enjoyed performing classical Indian music for various dance recitals and programs at the Ghandi Center in St. Louis County.

Pranab was married to the late Seetha Lutchmee Naidoo for 25 years. He later married the late Carol Ann Shelton of St. Louis, Missouri.

Pranab is survived by his four adult children, Greg Shelton of St. Louis, Missouri, Sunita Watson of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Pratik Ray of Atlanta, Georgia, and Ragini Salomon of St. Louis, Missouri. He also leaves sons-in-law Greg Watson and Dan Salomon; daughters-in-law Kim Shelton and Jody Ray, and eight grandchildren: Alex and Christian Shelton; Max, Peri, and Mara Watson; and Rachel, Aaron, and Hannah Ray, as well as many lifelong friends.

A visitation and funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. to noon on Monday, April 9, 2018 at St. Louis Cremation, 2135 Chouteau Ave., St. Louis MO 63103. Flowers are welcome, or please consider donations to the St. Louis Chapter of the American Parkinson’s Disease Association.
