Neil T. Butler

Neil, previously of South Bend, died on August 18, 2018 in Wentzville, MO. He was born in Boston, MA on July 1, 1939. He moved to South Bend to attend the University of Notre Dame where he received his Bachelors in Business Administration. On July 14, 1962, he married Charlene Fecteau. He is survived by his wife and three children: Kevin (Aumee) of Cleveland, Nichole (Chris) Nolan of Wentzville, and Ariann (Dave) Redmond of Fort Lauderdale, and 7 grandchildren (Alannah, Cael, Cian, Noelle, Keily, Auria, and Auburn). His mother, Helen Chikar, preceded him in death.

Neil and Charlene owned and operated Television Supply, Inc., later known as TVS Electronics. Neil was known for his sense of humor and loved all sports, especially playing tennis. He was an avid fan of Notre Dame football, the Red Sox, the Boston Celtics, and Green Bay Packers. Neil loved learning about the Civil War era and enjoyed quizzing his kids about its important facts, dates, and people.

Neil was cremated and his ashes will be interred at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis County, MO. A military service will be held on July 1, 2019. Memorials can be made in his name to the Humane Society.
