Sharon Beeman

 

 

 

Modesta Sharon Beeman (Scott) entered the arms of Jesus on Saturday October 6, 2018 at Evelyn’s House following a courageous 30 year battle with breast cancer, with her husband, children and grandchildren by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents Winfield H. Scott and Modesta J. Scott (Allred); her daughter Cheryl J. Hacker (Noville) and her grandson John E. Talbot.

Sharon was born on May 7, 1940 to Winfield and Modesta Scott in Reno, Nevada. When she was 9 months old the family relocated to Southern California. Sharon grew up with her cowboy Dad; church going Mom; and younger sister Anita. She graduated from California High School in Whittier California in 1958. In 1960 Sharon married Dick Noville and together they had Cheryl Jean born in 1963 and Merry Lynn born in 1965 beginning her fulfilling life as a wife, mom, and friend to many Sharon met the love of her life – Jim Beeman in 1969 and the two were married in 1971. Sharon and Jim added to their family with the birth of Scott Charles in 1976 and David Andrew in 1981. She lived most of her adult life in Southern California until 2001 when she and Jim relocated to St. Louis Missouri. Over the next several years all her children and grandchildren relocated to St. Louis as well and were blessed to spend the last several years of her life enjoying her loving and outgoing personality, great meals, trips to the St. Louis Zoo, trips to IKEA and Ted Drewes, and her infectious love of Cardinal baseball and Hallmark movies.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, James Beeman, her devoted sister Anita Regehr (Chuck); her dear cousin Terri Schamber; daughter Merry Smith (Tom); and sons Scott Beeman (Rosalynn) and David Beeman., and son-in-law: Brian Hacker. She was the awesome grandma to Anna Barton (Ben), Jonathan Smith (Kelly), Elisabeth Link (Jim), Brittany Porter (Michael), Ashley Hacker (Ryan), Emily Ezell (Ben), Lindsey Hacker, Grace Smith, Alexis Beeman and Lucas Beeman. Sharon was the loving great-grandma to Madeline, Samuel, Jacob, and Lucas Barton; Emma and Hadley Smith; Sienna, Victoria, and Hunter Link, Braydon and Peyton Porter, Bentley, Maximus, and Rowan Opbroek; and Lilly Ezell. She was loved by her many nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Sharon was a great example of a woman who loved the Lord and taught her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus. She had many special friends from California including Ron, Betty & Carrie Scott; the Erickson families; the Keith family and many others whom she cherished many fond memories with. Her best friends after she moved to Missouri were the Thursday Morning Coffee Group ladies led by her dear friend Dee Wilkinson.

A memorial service and time to visit with the family will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 2pm at Quest Church St. Louis – 17126 Manchester Rd, Wildwood, MO 63040. Sharon was committed to encouraging those whose lives have been impacted by cancer.
