Michael Puckett

Michael Puckett, 56, of St. Louis passed away on September 11, 2018. Mike was a loving, caring man who loved life.

Mike is survived by his husband, Jim Perry of St. Louis, his mother and step-father, Carol Ann and Terry Crossley of Bradenton, Fl., 3 sisters, Sheila (husband Larry) Pennington of Greenbrier TN, Sharon Puckett Verderber of Bradenton, Fl, and Tami Cheesman of Newport, TN, and 1 brother, Jeff (wife Marla) Puckett of Brandon, MS. Mike is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and in-laws, all of whom meant the world to him. Mike talked about his family often and truly cared about each and every one of them. Mike was preceded in death by his father, William Boyd Puckett.

Mike had friends around the world and it was not unusual for him to send messages to them out of the blue, just asking how they were doing, even if there had been no contact for months or even years. He was an avid bowler and bowled in tournaments throughout the country and as far away as New Zealand. He loved to travel and was the best tour guide a person could ever have. If Mike had been somewhere once, he knew his way around it forever.

Mike also loved his dogs (especially Dawson) and his St. Louis Cardinals. If Cardinal’s shirts and hats were money, he was the richest guy in the world! His last night on this earth was spent watching a Cardinal’s victory.

Mike believed in working hard and playing hard. He meant so much to so many people and will be forever loved and missed.

A celebration of life is being planned. Details will be posted on social media as soon as they are available.

Carol and family. No words can say how deeply saddened I was to hear of Michael’s passing. He loved life and worked so hard at living. Always cherish those wonderful, joy filled times that you all had together. To his spouse, always remember how much he loved and continues to love you. Death is not the end and one day you will all be reunited so hold that in your hearts. All is well.

Nothing i can say will take away the pain, sadness, and sense of loss we all feel. Nothing we can do to change it or fix it. We may never get over it, but have found you can get use to it. And family and friends are one means ti getting there. Only time will complete the process.
Mike was one of the kindness person i have met and was proud to call him my friend.
    He will never be forgotten.

(In my best Diana Ross) Someday, we’ll be together. To Mikes family and friends, and husband, I am so sorry for such a senseless loss. Mike loved everyone he met, and never knew a stranger. He was a better friend than I ever deserved, he loved us all, and we will never forget.
