Michael J. Antkowiak of Cahokia, IL, Blessed with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away on May 19, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.

Born on January 31, 1937 in Nashville, IL, Mike was the son of the late Casmir and Frances Antkowiak. Later in life he met and married Janet Seidenstricker who preceded him in death. They lived in various places in Illinois an in the St. Louis area before he finally settled in Cahokia. Mike retired from Killark Electric where he was a lathe operator. He also spent some time farming before illness made him give up his active lifestyle.
Mike is survived by his daughters Michelle and Paula Antkowiak; twin sister Sophie (Charles) Wisneski and sister Angeline (late Charles) Wnuk; great-uncle Joe Antkowiak; many nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his children Marvin and Mary Antkowiak, his parents and sister Stella Smukala.

Services: Visitation on Wednesday, May 25th beginning at 10am with formal service at 1pm at the Chapel of St. Louis Cremation, 2135 Chouteau Ave., St. Louis MO 63103. Flowers or masses at your church preferred.
