McKinley “Billy’D” Pickett

Life Reflection of Mr. McKinley Pickett

McKinley Pickett (affectionately called Billy’D) of St. Charles, Mo, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the age of 79.

McKinley was born to parents Edie Pickett and Lueidla Taylor on January 26, 1939 in Webb Mississippi but was raised by his grandparents. McKinley was the oldest of his siblings. McKinley retired from Wonder Bread Bakery in 1999 and later married Romanita Harris-Pickett in 2001 and lived the remainder of his days happily married.

McKinley was a Great man! He left a lasting impression on you. He was fearless and spoke his mind no matter the consequence. He was very generous and loved to travel. The highway was where he wanted to be. He would always say let’s hit the highway. He could make you laugh, no matter what you were going through, and that’s what we’ll miss most about him. His funny sayings like; “If IT AIN’T GREEN, IT AIN’T SHIT”, or “HOTTER THAN A WASP NEST ON BOTH ENDS”, and our favorite of all “HAVE MERCY”

(PERSONAL REMEMBERANCE OF BILLY’D)

Billy’D you’re loved unconditionally and even though you are gone the impact you had on the lives you touched will always be felt. Words cannot describe what you mean to us. We will always love and remember you. God called you home, but we know you will be watching us from afar

McKinley is survived by his wife Romanita Harris-Pickett, Three daughters Georgia (Joyce) Pickett; her sons, Antron (Monica) Byrd and Derrell Byrd, Vaneise (Niecey) Pickett; her son Vaughn McKinley Pickett, Christina Cotton, son Daryl Pickett, and twelve step children Valerie Medcalf, Leo Medcalf, Jerry Medcalf, Mark Medcalf, Gala (Shaun) Frazier, Gerald (Tiffany) Harris, Lajuana Harris, Gregory (Chelsea) Flenoid, Katrice (Willie) Gates, Elizabeth Milton, Romitria Milton and Anthony Milton, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
