Mary Buback (nee Riley), fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away peacefully Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born March 14, 1936, Mary married Donald A. Buback in 1957. They celebrated 46 years of marriage before Don’s death in 2003.

Mary is survived by her sons Dan (Diane, the late Karen), Joe (Temia), Pete (Katy) and Tim (Janice). She was the beloved grandmother of Danielle, Clayton, Alicia, Amanda, Sarah, John, Timothy Francis, David, Timothy Anders, Hannah and Caleb; great-grandmother of Charlotte, Conor, Rebecca, Nicholas, Hannah and Amelia; dear sister of Ellen (Jack) Maurer, the late John Riley and the late Nancy Schmitt; our dear aunt, cousin and friend.

Mary donated her body to St. Louis University Medical School. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at Ascension Catholic Church, 230 Santa Maria Dr., Chesterfield, Mo., on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
