Mary Lou DeMent, 64 years old, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, February 15, 2018.

Born on April 26, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the only daughter of the late William Holman Currier and Nettie Octavia (Holt) Currier.

She leaves behind to mourn her passing: her beloved husband of 42 years, Thomas DeMent; he loving daughter Lisa Cheung and stepson John (Tonia) DeMent; dear grandchildren, Roman DeMent, Kimi Mills, Kristel Mills, Kristen DeMent, Jeffrey Redecker and Jaelyn Redecker; one great-granddaughter, Persephone Suhre; one brother, William Currier; as well as many other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by both parents, and two brothers, Jimmie Currier and David Currier.

If Mary were able to let us know how she is doing now, she would tell you (being a big Pink Floyd fan) that she has gone on to join the “Great Gig in the Sky” and that all of her troubles are over.
