    Cheryl,
Pam and I are shocked to hear the news of Jimmy’s passing. Our hearts go out to you and all the family. As you probably know, I lost my sister Diane earlier this year. Diane and Jimmy were about the same age, and both good souls. Time has moved along much more quickly than I had ever anticipated. I had plans for us to all get together in Florida next year. I’m so glad we had a chance to reconnect last year in Fenton after so many years. Jimmy was one of my favorite Commack soul mates. We had so much fun playing in garage bands and sandlot baseball together during our teenage years. Jim holds a special place in my heart. Much love to you, Cheryl, during this sad and difficult time. We hope to see you Dec. 3rd for Jimmy’s celebration of life.

I met my High School friend on New Years Eve along time ago. I credited him on introducing me to my favorite beverage. I knew right away we would become best buds. We spent a lot of hot summer nights listening and watching Yankee games. I spent many days and nights in the Neighborhood. There were so many friends and great times we had. We went to many Yankee games and lost our minds.
I remember the summer when the guys decided to go to Florida. I was unable to go because I was working in Manhattan. I remember when Jimmy got home from his vacation. He couldn’t stop talking about this girl he met down in Florida. I had this inner feeling that this girl was going to be the one who would take my friend away from me. I was right. Her name was Cheryl. I remember the day he left Long Island. I was angry and sad that my best friend was leaving. I knew things were never going to be the same. However, I was so happy he was leaving. His love for his new life and his future wife was the right move for him and our friendship. I was there to see him marry his best friend. I saw the true love his family had for him that day. We had some funny moments before his wedding and after. I will NEVER EVER eat White Castle hamburgers again. I will NEVER EVER drink 15 cans of my favorite beverage again in 1 sitting. Time flew so fast in St. Louis. We kept in touch during the 90’s mostly on the phones crying over Yankee losses and Yankee wins. We drifted apart and this will always hurt me. My best friend was taken from his best friend Cheryl one Saturday morning. Trust me, my friend Jimmy lived his life to the fullest. His spirit will live on for ever. My love goes out to my best friend’s best friend Cheryl. Sending love and tight hugs! Love always, Bruce
