Words can not express the gratitude and pleasure of having Gwen as a friend. She has touched so many hearts which was a reflection of the heart she had within. It’s comforting to know she is in the great hands of the Almighty and will never feel pain or discomfort again. We love her here, but God loves her more. My prayers are with the family during this time.

I met Gwen through a mutual friend, Floresa Shepard. Gwen was a kind, fun-loving person. We hit it off immediately. Though I did not know her long, it didn’t take a long time to know how special she was.
May God give you His peace and comfort for your family.

Gwen’s sudden going has caused a great sadness. She knew the true meaning of friendship and never counted the cost of loyalty. There are many in her immediate surroundings who weep today, for they have lost the best friend they ever had. I too must make adjustments without my ” sis n law” as we so affectionately referred to each other. We weep not as though we have no hope for to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I am thankful for the time she was in my life.

No Man No the day or the hour when our God will return to gather his people. As we mourn, grieve, and reflect on the beautiful spirit that Gwen possessed, Let us hold near and dear her passionate powerful presence. She imparted love and encouragement to support her families and friends. I loved her courageous, free and bold spirit to live each day Full of Love and Laughter.

Although I was not afforded and blessed with the opportunity of growing up knowing Gwen, from the moment I was told we were in fact brother and sister via our father George Parker I accepted and loved her as such immediately. In our short time in each other’s presence and more so since I have come to know a passionate, gifted, loving, complex yet extremely giving soul. She could break out in laughter as fast as tears so there was little ambiguity about what she REALLY thought and felt. Always with the KNOWLEDGE only God would deliver her, she tried daily to live in His grace. I think she succeded. I will miss you. I love you. Your brother, Brian Parker

May Gwen’s family and friend’s memories bring comfort during this most difficult time. Gwen lived 3 houses down from me for the last few years. We would often chat as I either walked or drove pass her house. She expressed a desire to move back home (Missouri) when her mother was ill. When I heard that she had transitioned, I was elated that her relocation desire was fulfilled. I didn’t get to know her as well as I would have liked to, but her beautiful smile and spirit I will forever remember. Although her untimely death took us by surprise, it didn’t take her nor God by surprise. Farewell Gwen, until we meet on the other shore.

Gwen, when you smiled it felt as if the sun was shining it’s warm rays of acceptance that warmed the soul. Your laughter was the sounds of happiness that tried to heal the world. You knew hope, you knew and gave love. You knew life and lived! You are a blessing and God’s eternal gift. Thank you Jesus for blessing us with Gwen.
