Gertrude L. Mueller

Gertrude “Trudy” Louise Mueller (nee Dossenbach), August 6, 1931 – June 15, 2018, loving wife of the late Harry Mueller for sixty-one years; loving mother of James (Linda); loving grandmother of Kyle Joecken (Serena), Kirby Nichols (Matthew), and Samantha; loving sister of the late E. Albert Dossenbach (Margaret); loving aunt of John Dossenbach and Mary Nolan (Guy); and friend to many, fell asleep in Jesus on Friday, June 15, 2018, at the age of eighty-six.

Trudy worked as a church secretary at Gethsemane Lutheran Church on Hampton Avenue in St. Louis. She volunteered at Zion Lutheran Church in Ferguson for many years, serving in the church and school office as well as the cafeteria. She was always active in church and school activities, whether it was driving for a field trip, organizing a bake sale, or keeping score at a game. She also enjoyed playing cards with friends, traveling, and cooking. She leaves behind a legacy of always being willing to help friends, family, and neighbors.

A memorial service for Trudy will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 14088 Clayton Road, Chesterfield, Missouri, on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will be served immediately following the service. Trudy graduated with the inaugural class of Lutheran High School in 1949. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Lutheran High School Association, 5401 Lucas and Hunt Road, St. Louis, MO 63121.
