Georgia Frick

Georgia F. (Russell) Frick, 95, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Dutchtown Care Center in St Louis where she had been a resident since 2011. She had suffered from dementia for a number of years.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 28 from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at St Louis Cremation, 2135 Chouteau Ave, just south of downtown St Louis.

Interment will be at St Philip’s Episcopal Church in Joplin, MO at a time to be announced later.

She was born Georgia Fauntella Jones on November 21, 1921 in Carterville, MO, daughter of Everett and Pearl Jones. She grew up in Picher, OK and worked at the Picher State Bank, where a certain employee of the Empire District Electric Company always came to her teller window to make the daily deposits. She and Harvey Lee Russell wed February 24, 1946 and gave birth to son, Monte Lee Russell on December 9, 1950, who survives. Her husband Harvey passed in 1973. Georgia also leaves three granchildren, Johnathan Harvey, Reinier Gonzales and Cassandra Lee and four great grandchildren.

At the age of 75, she married Maxwell Frick of Joplin, MO. He preceded her in death.
