Esther “Janet” Rawlins

Esther “Janet” Rawlins 4/5/43-1/15/18

Janet, Mom, or MeeMa as most knew her, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 15, 2018, after a twenty-five year battle with CADASIL. Janet Rawlins, born in Springfield NJ, never knew a stranger, her heart & home were always open to anyone and everyone. Although it has been many years since most have seen her, she remained loving, and loved. With the help of her daughters Jennifer Srnka Frommer (Rich), Jessica Porcelli (Vic) and Debbi Ciaramella, and a wonderful staff of nurses and aides, she lived the balance of her life shrouded in love and caring. Family (especially her grandchildren), holidays and music were her passions, and these things will always bring back warm, wonderful memories for us.

We are comforted to know that Janet will be herself again, reunited with her parents
Martha and John as well as her siblings Jack and Ruth, who awaited her on the other side.
Arrangements were private. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the CADASIL foundation (in her memory). www.cadasilfoundation.org

Mom I can’t properly put into words what I would like to say. You taught me so much and helped make me into the woman I am today & I will forever be grateful for the heart you gave me & the attitude to be of service, help & love to others. You fought so long & hard & deserve to be free to be yourself again & live the life that got taken from you so long ago. It has been the hardest battle of my life and I did it with only a few key people to help, but you taught me how to fight & be strong when everyone you had has left you. Those that remain by your side in the most difficult times of your life are the true family you have. I love you mom & am happy that you are finally happy and free of the hell you lived for 25 long years. I will love you always. As Vic said “Give them hell up there, but remember God is a good guy–leave him be” LOL You gave me some of the most amazing memories & traditions that I carry on with my own family in your honor. I am so lucky to finally have a guardian angel with me. Love you always and forever. Thanks for being my mom.
