Dovey Boelloeni

Boelloeni, Dovey Lee (Dalton) 95, February 19, 1924 — July 8, 2019. Dovey was the devoted wife of 66 years to the late Albert A. Boelloeni. loving mother of Ronald (Nanette) and Randall (Karen) Boelloeni; proud Grandma of Renee, Robert, Natalie, Leslie, Tim and Kerry; Great Grandma of Taylor and Mathew; Great Great Grandma of Cece and Frankie; sister to the late Norris Dean Dalton, close personal friend of the Earnest L Rodgers family, aunt, great aunt, sister-in-law, cousin.

Dovey was born in Enterprise Kansas to the late Iver and Meda Dalton who brought their family to South St Louis early in her childhood, where Dovey would spend most of her life until retiring and moving to Arnold, MO in 1989. At the time of her passing she resided at Alexian Brothers Lansdowne Village.

Dovey attended Sherman Elementary, Roosevelt High School in South St Louis, and Washington University majoring in Art. Dovey performed many jobs over her lifetime, ranging from “Rosie the Riveter” at the Chevy Small Arms plant during WWII, to a legal secretary and a medical biller; played in a “kitchen band”, was active in her church as well as the Mother’s Club and PTO at Shenandoah Elementary school, volunteered at the Fox Theater and Lutheran hospital, and was a member of several organizations; but she will always be fondly remembered as a devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many. A person who loved life and on more than one occasion loved to play the penny slots.

A Memorial Service will be held at Webster Groves United Methodist Church, 600 N. Bompart Ave, Webster Groves , MO. 63119 on July 27, 2019. Visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Memorial service at 11:00 AM. Luncheon to follow. (314) 961-4133

Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery will be private.
