Dorothy L. Rossini

Dorothy L. (Louise) Rossini, 94, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her mother, Emily Sheets, and also by her late husband Robert V. Rossini; Mother of Joan Ludwig and John Rossini; Grandmother of Jonathan, Daniel & Allie Rossini, Christine & Jason Works, Stephen & Angela Ludwig and Jennifer Ludwig; Great-grandmother to Caleb, Dylan, Ryan & Cole Rossini, Stephen Works and Madyson, Jackson, Chase and Parker Ludwig.

She loved watching the great grandchildren and all of their energy playing around the house at family gatherings. She enjoyed her independence by getting around town and running errands in her car until her early 90s. She was a good friend to many of her fellow residents at the independent senior facility where she lived. Many people were amazed by her knowledge of current events.

We are so grateful to the Lord for having her touch our lives and for her being here with us, in good health, until the very end.

Dorothy will be buried at Forever Bellerive Cemetery, 740 Mason Road, Creve Coeur, MO 63141 on Sunday, February 19, 2017. Those wishing to attend the ceremony should meet the family at the Bellerive parking area near the front entrance by 11:15 am.

Memorial contributions in her honor can be made to the American Cancer Society.

My mother, Mary Hill, was a very close friend of Dorothy’s for many years. Mom cherishes the memories of the time spent with Dorothy and Margaret Gormley. Our family sends our deepest condolences to all of you. We are sorry we will not be able to attend the service. Blessings to your family.

    Dear Joan and John,
I was sorry to learn of your mother’s passing.
She was a very nice lady.
I hope you are all well. Ray Lobus is now the only member of their generation left. He will be 94 in September this year.
Mary and I moved to Mount Prospect in 2015 to be closer to the grandchildren. Mark and his wife have 4. Rick has 2 grandchildren.

We will keep Dorothy in our prayers.
    Bob Lewin
