Dennis Shimel, of Hazelwood, Missouri, born on February 11, 1956 passed away on February 14, 2018 at the age of 62.

Beloved father of Andrew Tomlin and Brett (Stefanie) Shimel, “Gramps” of Diem Shimel and infant Shimel soon to be born. Former husband of Paula Shimel and stepfather to Melissa (Joel) Craig and Richard Boyle. He was a devoted Jimmy Buffett fan and Parrot Head who loved “partying with a purpose” in the St. Louis Parrot Head Club. Dennis’ favorite STLPHC charity was Project Backpack of St. Louis. Donations can be made in his name to Project Backpack of St. Louis. Any donations would be welcome and appreciated.

Friends and family can pay their respects at the celebration of his life on Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 3:00pm until 9:00pm at The Smith Shelter in Queeny Park 1675 S. Mason Rd., St. Louis, Missouri 63131. Lanterns will be released at dusk to honor his life.
