Danny Moody

Danny Moody passed away Friday, April 24th, 2015 at his home in Lemay, Missouri. He was born on September 6th, 1950 in East St. Louis, Illinois to the late Ned and Bernice Moody. He was the youngest of their 4 children.

Dan served in the Vietnam War shortly after graduating from Edwardsville High School in 1968. Once stateside, he worked various jobs while he earned his Bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. He spent many years as a computer repair/ help desk technician at the Defense Mapping Agency, Fleischmann’s Yeast, and would later retire from the Veterans Administration.

Dan is survived by son Brian of Saint Louis, Missouri, granddaughter Allison Watson of Bethalto, Illinois, sister Linda Bell of O’Fallon, Missouri and brothers Glenn Moody of Worden, Illinois and Kenneth Moody of O’Fallon Missouri, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as daughters Shelly Marie and Sheila Kay. Dan loved the Saint Louis Cardinals, enjoyed playing cards, and could cook a mean pork steak. Per his wishes, his body was cremated and a memorial gathering will be held at his home from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9th, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to:
