Charles Feldwert

Charles Feldewert died on Monday at the age of 77. Survivors include first spouse and mother of his children Rosalie (Wehde) Feldewert, Sons: Michael Feldewert (wife Cristina), Edward Feldewert, Daughters: Michelle Oppenborn (husband Russ) and Juliet Tunks; Siblings: Marvin Feldewert (wife Sharon), Robert Feldewert and Sister Mary C. Feldewert CPPS, and his much beloved grandchildren, Colleen, Sally, John, Alyssa, Haylee, Alexandra, Scott, Jacob, Nicholas, Nathan, and Lexi. In accordance with his wishes his body was cremated.

As a Certified Public Account, Charles was an accomplished property developer and manager with Turley Martin and Westgate Reality. He was a strong believer in promoting a clean environment. In the 1970’s he began SCENE (Saint Charles Enthusiasts for a Natural Environment) which organized a recycling program and other environmental efforts. When he semi-retired from business, he devoted much of his time to organic gardening and participated in many farmers markets. Charles recycled when recycling wasn’t cool

    Charlie was a brilliant financial expert and successful developer. He was both a friend and mentor who helped me in ways I could never repay. We became partners in real estate developments that he led to perfection. I will forever miss this great man.
