COUNTS,CHARLES (FREDDIE)
Born in Bunker,Mo. Graduated from Bunker High School. Born to Fred and Viola Counts. The last of 8 children, on 9-6-37. Deceased from Alzheimers and Diabetes 9-26-15.
Fred married Barbara Morton of Bunker,Mo. and they had 6 children; Michael,Beverly, Dennis, Kimberly, Lori and Tammy. Fred moved to St. Louis in 1963 and worked (and retired) from National Lead on Manchester as a union welder for 32 years.He was a Mason.
Preceded in death by Barbara and son Mike, His parents, 3 brothers; Brock,Gene,Clayton (Fuzzy). 2 sisters; Pauline Wood, Mae Jenkins.
Survived by 5 children, Dennis, Kim from St.Louis, Beverly, Lori(C.J.) and Tammy(Kerry) from Florida.2 sisters; Arjana (Jan) Wolfert of O’Fallon,Mo.,Bonnie(Eddie) Williams of New Mexico. Fred had several grandchildren,great-grandchildren,nieces,nephews, and many friends. He was especially close to his nephew,Jack and niece Lou, who lived nearby. He loved Jack’s yearly tomatoes for his bologna sandwiches ! I want to thank my Aunt Arjana, (especially) and who my dad was also especially close to, and everyone, for helping me care for my dad when he began to get ill. I want to thank my Mike, for all his help,love and patience. My dad also loved him and thanked him all the time for his generosity for being there for us both.And of course my brother Dennis who helped me with hard decisions,and who was always there , and we always made sure my Dad got the best care.My Dad would be proud. He was loved dearly and will be missed by everyone.
By his request, he will be cremated and his ashes buried in the family Cemetary near Ellington,Mo. at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Alzheimers research or Diabetes research.

    Sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. My grandma was Edna Decker. I remember your dad coming to her house when I was younger with Gene & Juanita.

    I am so very sorry to hear about your Dad’s passing. I still remember the good old days when our Parent’s would get together. He will be missed. May God comfort all of his Family & Friends today and always. Cindy Pyatt

    What a beautiful remembrance of Uncle Freddy, he is surely missed.. i loved the video of all the family, there arent many of us left now, how fast life gets away from us.. i miss going to Bunker growing up and having those Counts family reunions never knew what was going to happen before the night ended lol.. i love yall and miss u, take care and god bless🙏🏻
