Warder Lee Payne

Warder Lee Payne born June 25, 1933, passed away Monday, December 8, 2014. Beloved husband of Arlene (Nicholas) Payne.

Ward was an employee of Schnucks grocery store for 25 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Robert And Veda Payne, 1 grandson and 1 step-grandson.

He will be missed by many.

Warder Lee Payne is survived by his loving wife Arlene Payne; 4 sons Gary (Traci) Payne, Marshall ( Sue) Payne, Joseph (Jessica) Payne, Edwin (Kathy) Payne; 1 daughter Kimberly Payne; 3 step-daughters Terri Baskett, Cindy Baskett and Sue Young; 1 “adopted” daughter Maria Lagorio; 1 brother Henry Payne and his friend Henrietta (Pete) Gaylord; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandson; many nieces, nephews, cousins dear friends, neighbors along with the Latinis families of Wyoming and Texas; sister and brother-in-laws Mary Lou (Lloyd) Campbell, Lenona (Gordon) Coy and James Nicholas.

Donations can be made to Mercy Hospice 115 South New Ballas Rd. St. Louis, MO 63141 or the Human Society 1201 Macklind Ave. St. Louis, MO 63110.

Service: Monday, December 15, 2014 at Jungs Station Baptist Church 1120 Jungs Station St. Charles, MO visitation is at 1PM and service at 2PM.

    Arlene-

    I worked with you & Ward at Schucks in Columbia from 1974 -1977 until I graduated from MU. Ward was a good and fair man. I liked him immensely. My condolences to you and your family on his death.
