Robert R. Pittsenbarger

age 72 of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away on August 11, 2014 following a short battle with lung cancer. Bob retired from Emerson Electric Transportation Division in 2007 after 30 years of service.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda, his sons Gary and Christopher Pittsenbarger, daughter Kelly Oldfield, step-daughter Michelle Sharp, brother, Rob Pittsenbarger, and sister Carol Temen. Bob’s favorite pastimes were playing golf, drawing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was the proud grandpa of Shelby Pittsenbarger, Brittany Pittsenbarger, Corey Sharp, Cody Sharp, and Cailey Sharp. He will be missed by many loving nieces and nephews, family and friends.

At Bob’s request, there will be no services. We will be celebrating his life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that all donations go to The Down Syndrome Association of St. Louis to honor his loving relationship with his grandson, Cody.

“What we once enjoyed deeply, we can never lose. It becomes a part of us.”

Our memories of Bob are happy ones and funny ones, because of his kindness and his sense of humor. I know that is a sad contrast to what all of you have gone through, and our hearts go out to you. I hope all of your favorite memories will help to soften the recent days you’ve been through and bring you smiles along with the tears. He will be missed…..gone too soon.
    Our sincere condolences…
