Pero S. Drmac

Pero S. Drmac, 74, died Friday, February 20, 2015 at NHC Healthcare in Town and Country, MO.

He leaves his former wife of 31 years, Pamela Drmac; his son, Thomas Drmac and his wife, Dina Drmac; his daugher, Stana Drmac-Hermann; his grandchildren: Pamela Reid, Anthony Drmac, Christopher Hermann, Jr., Alex Drmac, Laura Hermann and Anna Hermann; as well as a brother, a neice and 5 nephews in Croatia.

Born and raised in Croatia, the son of Ilejia and Stana Drmac, he resided in France as a young man for approximately 5 years before moving to America in 1965.

In his early years, Mr. Drmac was trained as a sheet metal worker and welder. Later he became an expert machinist and went on to be a forman and general manager for large machining companies in the St. Louis area. He then owned and operated his own machine shop for over 20 years. He not only took pride in his business, but in his technical and innovative skills that lead him to co-develop a medical invention used in many doctors offices and healthcare facilities around the world.

Mr. Drmac was a skilled soccer player and played recreational soccer in both Croatia and St. Louis before going on to coach soccer for The Croation Stars in the 1980’s. He was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church in St. Louis, MO for many years and will be missed by many parish members/friends.

A funeral service will be held from 1-5 on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at St. Louis Cremation, 2135 Chouteau Ave., St. Louis, MO 63103, 314-241-8844.
