I am so sorry for your loss. I know we will all miss his good natured laughter and his love of music. I will certainly miss playing music with Jeff “Lighting Fingers” Dodd.

Jeff was such a kind soul. He put his soul into his music, and both were beautiful. I will miss our jams and the talent that he brought. Jeff, I hope you know how much you were admired and loved!

It was an absolute privilege to know Jeff, and to work with him back in the Building 500 days. We all have such wonderful memories, and will miss him very much!

Jeffo was a kind hearted individual who knew more about music, record labels, song writers and musicians and was a joy to speak to on these topics. We will remember Jeff always as a good friend.

Jeff was one of the brightest people I knew. Whether it was heads up displays or who sang back up vocals on the “b” side of some obscure single his breadth and depth of knowledge was unmatched. Never a dull moment. It was a privilege to have known him. Rock on captain!!

So sadly, I just learned today of Jeff’s passing…so very sorry for his family and close friends – I knew Cap’n Vinyl/ Jeffo years ago and have nothing but fond, happy memories of his contagious happy attitude and smile. The Captain introduced me to jazz and alternative music- he was the guru and the go to guy for all things music. I was so impressed and pleased to hear of his professional success through the years through mutual friends after the MSU years- sweet dreams and peace to you Cap- you will always be in my Top Forty!

Well its been another year. I’d hoped the pandemic would not have been the leading news item of the day but it is. Hopefully we’ll see an end by summer/fall. The Short Boys are doing well.
