Eloise Johnson

Eloise Johnson (Ellie), 75, of St. Louis passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014.

She was born in Dyess, AR on January 25, 1939, to the late Helen Louise England and Charles Franklin Key.

She married ex-husband Charles Billie Johnson September 25, 1954. He was born December 11, 1935 and passed away Monday, August 11, 2014.

Ellie loved going to the movies, watching old westerns on TV, crocheting and learning as many NEW things as possible. She was an amazing Mother, Sister and Grandmother. Family was the most important thing in her life.

She was a hard worker and tirelessly worked third shift for years in order to be home for her children. After only completing high school through grade 7, she went back and got her GED in 1994.

Ellie is survived by 3 siblings; Bee Farace (late Tom Farace), William Key (Angel), Betty Cox and the late Linda Sue Matheny. She also has half-sisters, Georgia Key Leek, Jane Fuller and half-brother Charlie Key. She is also survived by four children; Gerald Franklin Johnson (Debbie Johnson) of O’Fallon, Helen Irene LeMaster (Dean LeMaster) of Florissant, Julie Lynn Johnson (Debbie Giedinghagen) of Troy, MO, Gary Allen Johnson (Robin Johnson) of Maryland Heights and his late son Charles William Johnson.

She is also survived by six grandchildren; Eric Russell, Sean Lafoy, Casey Hutchings (Melisa Hutchings), Rebecca Johnson (John Zurian), Kylee Johnson, Bryan Johnson and late grandson Jesse Lafoy. Additionally survived by her great grandchildren; Aiden Johnson West, Bailey Zurian and Isabella Cortez.

A viewing was held at Alexander-White Funeral home on Tuesday, August 19, 2014.

    This was such a loving & moving tribute to your Mom. So many memories came flooding back. What a wonderful mom she was. Peace to all of you moving forward.
